"Master Dirck van Crimpen, representing Jan Aelbrechtsz, miller, sues Bruyn Claesz, cabinetmaker, complaining that the defendant failed to teach the plaintiff’s son the craft of cabinetmaking, contrary to their agreement, for which the plaintiff had agreed to pay 6 Karolus guldens. Despite two years’ working for the defendant, the plaintiff’s son had not been taught anything. The plaintiff wants a refund to be established by experts, or payment of 20 Karolus guldens, plus costs. On 1 April, the defendant agreed to satisfy the plaintiff before the next court sesssion, according to the opinion of experts, except Aernt Jansz Broeder."
