"David Egbertsz, representing Cornelis Jacopsz Nyeucoop, cabinetmaker, sues Anna, with her husband Adriaen Claesz, merchant. The plaintiff states that he had hired her son to work with him two consecutive years in cabinetmaking; she was keeping her son at home when he should be working for the plaintiff. He demands compensation, or payment of 12 Karolus guldens, plus costs. On 30 October, the court ordered the parties to consult with experts to reach an agreement; failing that, they were to return to court with the experts."
