"David Egbertsz, representing the officers of the Confraternity of St. James held in Leiden’s Onse Liever Vrouwenkerk, sues Jacop Adriaensz, painter, living in The Hague, because he agreed to repair their image of St. Jerome but has not returned it to them. They demand he deliver it to them repaired, for which they would pay, or else pay 20 Karolus guldens, plus costs."
