"Jeronimus Maertynsz, as husband and guardian of Machtelt Gerytsdr his wife, sues Daniel Jansz, as executor and possessor of the estate of his wife, Elysabeth Gerytsdr, claiming that some time ago Alydtgen potter’s [widow or daughter, unspecified] by her last will left Machtelt and Elysabeth, her nieces, 25 gold Karolus guldens each, on condition that if either died without surviving children the survivor would receive the money of the one who had died. Elysabeth had received the sum mentioned and had recently died without surviving children, so the plaintiff demanded that Daniel Jansz pay him 25 gold Karolus guldens. After delays, on 11 October, the court upheld the plaintiff’s claim."
