"Jan Pietersz, representing the officers of the Confraternity and Sorority of the Holy Trinity and St. Appolonia, held in the St. Pieterskerk, sues Steven Jansz, trumpetter, for 7 ½ stuvers for dues and charges for taking on an apprentice, plus costs.
On 16 June, the court found in favor on the strength of the defendant’s oath of innocence, because the officers of the guild did not deny that the fees for the apprentice might have been paid. Steven Jansz acknowledged a debt of 2 stuvers and 10 pence."
