"Florys Hobbenz, representing the officers of the St. Jacobs brotherhood and sisterhood (or, guild) in St. Pancraes Kerk, sues Jan the Ass and Jan Pietersz, bargemen, for unpaid costs connected with plays and for refreshments consumed at the last Procession Day. They had continued to transport freight despite not having paid their debts, contrary to the guild’s ordinance. Florys Hobbenz demanded payment of 8 placken, or else a fine of £ 1 each."
