Tilburg Institute for Social and Socio-Economic Research
TISSER is a research institute at the Department of Sociology of Tilburg University. As of January 1, 2001 TISSER's name has changed into "Tilburg Institute for Social and Socio-Economic Research". The former name "Tilburg Institute for Social Security Research" has been replaced, because the institute has broadened its research scope to a wider range of social and socio-economic issues. TISSER carries out both fundamental and applied research. TISSER is part of the research institute WORC, Work and Organisation Research Centre, of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. TISSER takes also part in OSA, the Institute for Labour Studies at Tilburg University.
