archeoloog (promoveerde in 2003, Universiteit Leiden); was werkzaam bij: Rijksdienst voor Oudheidkundig Bodemonderzoek (ROB, Nijmegen) en als archeoloog gemeente Rotterdam (BOOR); in 1996 ontving hij de W.A. van Es-prijs voor de Nederlandse archeologie voor zijn onderzoek naar prehistorische grafvelden in Nijmegen; thans werkzaam als: universitair hoofddocent 'European archeology' (doet onderzoek naar: Europese Brons- en IJzertijd) Faculteit der Archeologie, Universiteit Leiden
