    ns2:genoemdNaar "Genoemd naar Aritius Sybrandus Talma (1864 - 1916), een Nederlandse theoloog en antirevolutionaire politicus. Talma was predikant in achtereenvolgens Heinenoord, Vlissingen en Arnhem. In 1901 werd hij Kamerlid voor de Antirevolutionaire Partij. Van 1908 tot 1913 was hij minister van Landbouw, Nijverheid en Handel (waaronder ook Sociale Zaken viel). Als minister was Talma één van de grondleggers van de sociale wetgeving in Nederland. Zo bracht hij onder andere de Ziektewet, de Invaliditeits- en Ouderdomswet en een wijziging van de Arbeidswet tot stand. Na de door zijn partij verloren Tweede Kamerverkiezingen in 1913 werd hij predikant in Bennebroek, waar hij tot zijn overlijden verbleef."@nl ;
